Greetings and welcome to the official website of Omega Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is an international service organization that was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1908.  It is the first and oldest Greek-letter organization established by African American college-educated women.  Omega Upsilon Omega was chartered in December 2017.  During our brief history, our group of determined hard-working members have established a strong presence in the community.

As the 2nd president of Omega Upsilon Omega, it is my privilege to welcome you to our website.  Our chapter is home to 39 college-educated, professional women who are passionate members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sisterhood.  We are dedicated to delivering exceptional service through our programs which are based on the sorority’s principle of “Service To All Mankind”.

We are presently engaged in executing the 2018-2022 International Program “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service” under the leadership of our International President, Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover.  Our five program targets and one signature Program help to guide us in advancing the mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, they are:

1. HBCU For Life: A Call to Action, Signature Program – #CAP
2. Women’s Health and Wellness
3. Building Your Economic Legacy
4. The Arts
5. Global Impact

We are proud of our service to all mankind and to the residents of Contra Costa County.  If you are a current member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, new to the area or have been an inactive member in or near our geographic area looking for a chapter home please feel free to visit us.  The public is welcome to attend our community and fundraising event.  Please visit our website to learn more about our upcoming events and programs.
